Study Trip 2017 to Vienna

Also this year the students of the master’s program Information Systems travelled for their study trip to Vienna. Exciting lectures at the University of Economics Vienna (WU), company and city visits and a lot of fun were part of the agenda.

At the WU, the biggest University of Economics in Europe, Prof. Dr. Jan Mendling, one of the leading researchers worldwide in the area of process mining and guest lecturer of the Hilti Chair of Business Process Management at the University of Liechtenstein, taught the students two days long in his expert field. Senior lecturer at the Institute of Information Systems, Dr. Bernd Schenk and Christina Mathis showed the students the most important sights of Vienna and organized again interesting guided visits through the logistics center of the Austrian Post AG and the Ottakringer brewery. On the evening program the well-known Schweizerhaus at the Viennese Prater as well as the traditional Viennese Heurigen Schübel-Auer could not be missed. For this international student group this was an exceptional opportunity to get to know the capital city of Austria and to expand their professional knowledge within the expert field of Prof. Mendling for their further master studies.
