Although passive investment strategies are widely accepted by investors today, the question remains as to what sorts of costs these strategies involve. With regard to the concomitant portfolio selection, the next After Work Lecture from the Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management at the University of Liechtenstein will focus on two aspects: firstly, the predictability of returns, and secondly, risk preferences. The lecture, which will be delivered in English, is aimed at professionals from local companies, banks and insurance companies. The event will be held in lecture room 1 at the University of Liechtenstein, from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Entry is free.

Following the lecture, opportunities to exchange ideas will be provided by a discussion led by Professor Marco Menichetti from the Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management and Michael Frommelt, president of the Liechtenstein Society of Investment Professionals, as well as by the subsequent drinks reception. Questions to the speakers can be submitted in advance up until 21 May 2013 to banking@uni.li.
