The Vice-Rectorate for Academic Development coordinates the activities of the University of Liechtenstein in the promotion of research and young researchers and develops the strategy in these areas together with the institutes. The Vice-Rectorate is responsible for quality assurance and development in research. It is also responsible for the planning and implementation of internal research funding allocation processes and advises on research planning and funding issues. The Research Funding Office is assigned to the Vice-Rectorate for Academic Development and supports the Vice-Rectorate both in strategic issues and in operational aspects.
Research Delegate Ass.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Schneider is a member of the Rectorate and is responsible for the research commissions, research funding and research priorities in this process. The main focus of the Vice-Rector for Academic Development is on the strategic orientation of research at the University of Liechtenstein and currently in particular on the topics of research attitude, research strategy, research culture and research evaluation.
