Description
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and particularly the Blockchain-Technology are one of the most discussed topics when it comes to digitalization and new technologies. Since developments are advancing rapidly and new business models are being developed continuously, it is particularly important to detect those topics that will continue to be of relevance in the future. In this context, it is essential to identify the issues and trends in order to analyse their compatibility with the current legal framework and to deal with the emerging legal challenges in good time. The aim of this project is to identify the most relevant possibilities of application and potential legal consequences and risks emerging from these applications. The main focus will be on Liechtenstein contract, consumer and company law, as in these areas frictions with applicable law are most likely to be expected. The neighbouring jurisdictions are also included in the considerations.
