Description

The Institute of Information Systems and the Institute of Architecture and Planning collaborate in this FFF research project to identify and evaluate virtual reality (VR) as a communication tool in urban planning. A virtual model of Liechtenstein will be used to explore VR's capability to support architects in communicating their vision to a wider range of audience. Design options to create an immersive virtual environment, such as visual effects, animations, and interactivity will be explored. Additionally, investigating experiences from introducing VR as a new technology to an urban planning (research) project is also within the scope of this project. In turn, this project is of relevance as it covers the interest in using VR to support urban planning and the use of design aspects in building a VR experience, while working around a real-life location that is Liechtenstein.

Practical Application
