Bridging theory and practice: project management - introduction week for freshmen
This module deals with planning and executing an introduction week for freshmen. You will not only learn the theoretical basics of project management but also its practical implementation. Become a part of the project team and bring in your own ideas as well as inspiration to all the activities taking place during the introduction week.
The module includes project planning (February - May), implementation (August/September) and evaluation (September).

In the module, project management, students will become familiar with the fundamental theories of project management. The course deals with discussing all relevant terms as well as methods for project planning, implementation, management and monitoring.

The aim of this course is that students are in charge of planning and organising an introduction week for all freshmen starting in the winter semester.
Therefore, the introduction week serves the purpose to develop a strong cohesion of all freshmen regardless of their study track. In addition, cohesion among new and current students is facilitated.
The project group is asked to plan a mixture of formal and informal activities for the newcomers to get to know the country, the culture, the German language, the university in all its facets and the campus life. The task of the students is to develop a program for the introduction week as well as organize and coordinate all people and program activities involved.
