Tea Stalls in Bangladesh

In summer 2020, two students of the Master´s degree programme in Architecture founded the non-profit organization "Arch Aid". The association was created on the basis of a project that the two developed during their architecture studies at the University of Liechtenstein in collaboration with the renowned German architect and #unili Visiting professor Anna Heringer. Instead of leaving it with a fictional design, the two students decided to implement the project.

The construction of a tea stall should serve as a meeting place for a community in a rural village in northern Bangladesh. The public tea stall should not only strengthen the cohesion of the residents, but also promote the use of the natural and locally available building materials, clay and bamboo. Depending on the donations collected, the project will be continued in a kind of an architectural acupuncture at different locations.
