Competence Center

Working Together to Solve the Challenges of Tomorrow

To foster the transfer of knowledge and best practices in the region, the Institute of Information Systems runs several Competence Centers. A Competence Center is a network of regional organisations from industry, public administration, and research that together solve the challenges of tomorrow.

The Competence Center initiative, which is financially supported by the Principality of Liechtenstein, focuses on contemporary topics such as Business Process Management (BPM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Big Data Analytics (BDA), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Green IT (GIT). Services are provided at two levels:

  • Services at the networking level include steering board meetings and round table meetings that support networking and knowledge exchange between members.
  • Services at the project level include project work with the Competence Center members to support transformation and innovation projects with state-of-the-art research results.

Members are currently ALPLA, Hilti, Hoval, Ivoclar Vivadent, ThyssenKrupp Presta Steering, and the National Public Administration in Liechtenstein. If you are intested in joining the Competence Center initiative please contact Dr. Bernd Schenk.
