Student Fellowship

A unique funding opportunity for students of the MSc in Information Systems.

The Hilti Chair of Business Process Management offers highly motivated full-time degree students the opportunity to become part of interesting projects in research, teaching, and transfer to industry. At the same time they will gain an insight into the workings of the Institute “behind the academics” by getting involved in marketing activities and offering administrative and logistical support.

In order to be accepted onto this unique scheme students must have demonstrated outstanding academic performance during their previous studies. The selection process is highly competitive with only a few places available each academic year. Early applications are recommended.

Who is eligible to become a Student Fellow?

Full-time degree students who are enrolled in the Master of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein can apply to become a Student Fellow. We are always looking for people with different interests and skill sets to cover the needs of the Institute. Please note that the below list of duties is not exhaustive and that your duties will depend on your skill set as well as the needs of the Institute.

Duties may include:

  • Assist with the administrative functions of the Institute
  • Assist with the marketing efforts of the office – this may include representing the Institute at University fairs abroad
  • Assist professors with their research
  • Prepare reports for different stakeholders
  • Plan and attend departmental activities (such as semester parties)
  • Prepare and attend occasional afternoon/evening functions (aperos)
  • Prepare publication materials
  • Maintain records and databases

Desired qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Dependability and punctuality
  • Creativity, and “thinking outside of the box”
  • Willingness to take initiative
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings
  • Must be able to work with a variety of people and meet deadlines
  • Basic German is an advantage
  • Previous office experience a bonus
