Transfer

From science straight into practice

The timely implementation of new findings and technologies is a decisive factor in companies’ ability to be competitive. The Institute of Information Systems is a catalyst in this transfer of science to value-adding applications.

Mutual transfer of knowledge takes place in the context of larger, funded innovation projects or in smaller projects, such as those undertaken in project seminars or master theses.

In addition, competence centres are being established as associations of organizations from business, administration, and science that are based on a key topic in the region.

Together with research and practice partners, the Institute of Information Systems is involved in various initiatives in the areas of research, teaching, and transfer projects, the latter of which are regularly carried out in cooperation with corporate partners.

Research results are made available to the broader public through publications in practice-oriented media.
