Prof. Dr. Stefan Seidel

Assoziierter Professor
Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik
Studienleiter
MSc in Information Systems
Tätigkeit
Stefan Seidel is Associate Professor of Information Systems at the University of Liechtenstein.

Stefan's main research interest is in how information systems (IS) can contribute to better organizational practice and, ultimately, improved social welfare. To this end, most of his current research is in the areas of digital transformation & innovation and green IS. Moreover, he is concerned with how the scholarly IS discipline can, from a methodological and theoretical point of view, conduct impactful research, thereby focusing on relevant theory building, design science research, and the relationships between IS as a basic science and IS as a practice science.

Stefan's work has appeared in major journals, including MIS Quarterly, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and Journal of Information Technology. Stefan is co-editor and co-author of the book "Green Business Process Management - Towards the Sustainable Enterprise." He is Associate Editor to Information Systems Journal, Chair of the AIS Special Interest Group on Green Information Systems (SIGGreen), and is Vice President for research of the Liechtenstein Chapter of the AIS.
