Lehrveranstaltung
This seminar deals with sociological, political and economic aspects of housing and its crystallization in design and architectural practice. Systems, structures and actors of housing production are analyzed and discussed and reflected with a mixture of theoretical and practical teaching approaches. Students engage with scientific knowledge to apply these macro-topics to concrete local and global case studies.

  • comprehend the basics of conceptual thinking and the terminology required for a critical discussion of housing studies.
  • understand and evaluate different systems, structures and actors of housing production.

Prüfungsmodalitäten
Compulsory attendance according to the Study and Assessment Regulation MSc Architecture.
The final grade is calculated according to the weighting of the following components: submission (40%) and presentation/participation (60%).
