Award for research on the topic of corporate succession

Susanne Durst, assistant professor at the Chair in International Management of the Institute for Entrepreneurship at the University of Liechtenstein, received the Transeo Academic Award for the best contribution in the research area of SME transfers.

Susanne Durst, assistant professor at the Chair in International Management of the Institute for Entrepreneurship at the University of Liechtenstein, received the Transeo Academic Award for the best contribution in the research area of SME transfers.

The prize was presented at the Transeo Conference, which was held in Spa, Belgium, from 24 to 25 May.

In her paper, Susanne Durst examined the significance of immaterial assets from the perspective of extra-familial successors. In view of demographic change, there is a greater need for research on this topic from the successor’s/buyer’s perspective. Susanne Durst’s work provides insights into this (still) neglected area of research.
