Prof. Dr. Stefan Seidel appointed honorary professor

Prof. Dr. Stefan Seidel, holder of the Chair of Information Systems and Innovation at the Institute of Information Systems, has been appointed Honorary Professor of the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).

Prof. Seidel has been teaching Green IT at NUIG since 2014 as part of the Bachelor Program in Business Information Systems. According to Seidel, a good partnership has developed over these years, which has now been crowned by the appointment as honorary professor.
The president of NGUI, Professor Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh, emphasizes in his letter of appointment: "In accordance with the decision of the College of Business, Public Policy and Law, it gives me great pleasure to appoint you as an Honorary Professor of Business Information Systems at NUI Galway.
Honorary Professor is a title awarded to distinguished academics, of professorial standing, or to a person who has obtained clearly recognised and verifiable eminence and leadership in their field of expertise or profession, to associate him or her with the University."
