On 10 December 2012, the START Liechtenstein student organization arranged a company visit to Ivoclar Vivadent in Schaan, the leader in the area of dental technology.
START Liechtenstein, an initiative by students from the University of Liechtenstein, focuses on promoting entrepreneurship in the Rhine Valley region. At the beginning of the week, 13 students from the programmes in Business and Architecture seized the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at Ivoclar Vivadent – a practice-oriented experience intended to complement their studies.
The visit commenced with an overview on the company’s history by Dr. Robert May, Director of the ICDE department. This was followed by a comprehensive tour of the production, training and distribution facilities. After a short coffee break, Dr. Salz, R&D Director, Dr. Schenck, Marketing Director, and Dr. Natter, HR Director, gave presentations on their departments and answered the students’ questions on Ivoclar Vivadent and its corporate structure.
The visit was a great success for START Liechtenstein, providing the students with valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of a global player, right on the doorstep of the University of Liechtenstein.
