Welcome Days at the University of Liechtenstein

On 1 September, numerous young people from near and far began their studies at the University of Liechtenstein. The new students were welcomed to campus and familiarised with their respective degree programmes during the introduction days, which have been a fixed and important part of the university for many years.

Provided with a goodie bag full of information brochures, a writing pad, biros and regional products, the first-semester students were able to exchange ideas with their new colleagues as well as programme managers and professors over a small breakfast. Afterwards, Rector Christian Frommelt welcomed them with a warm speech and the students received a general introduction to studying at the University of Liechtenstein and to the library system.

At the Student Fair, the various student initiatives had the opportunity to present themselves and draw attention to themselves with fresh drinks and music. Social exchange was not neglected in addition to the provision of information. In the afternoon, the newcomers were treated to subject-specific workshops and administrative programme items on their respective degree programmes. The big highlight in the evening was the legendary "International Dinner". The students brought home-cooked specialities from their home countries, resulting in a large and varied buffet.

An entire week at the University of Liechtenstein is dedicated to the introductory programme. In addition to a leisure programme at the weekend, information events were offered on various topics such as working and living in Liechtenstein. In addition, the introduction to the study subjects was further deepened.

We are pleased to welcome many new students to the University of Liechtenstein and hope that the first days on campus will be long remembered.
