Description

Entrepreneurs design new products and business models every day. However, most research on entrepreneurship says little about how to do this effectively. This is one of the reasons why knowledge transfer between the two research fronts of design science and entrepreneurship has gained importance in a very short time. Design Science Research (DSR) generates prescriptive knowledge that contributes in many ways to solving a wide variety of problems. The topic is so exciting because individual elements of DSR can already be found in entrepreneurship research. Through this exchange, new (or existing) principles and methods can be (further) developed. One of the goals of the study is to generate new scientific findings as well as added value for practice. The question arises, for example, how the artefacts developed in Design Science can be used as an aid in other research areas in order to develop existing or new solutions. Or how much design science is already practiced in non-disciplinary research fields such as entrepreneurship.
