Studio U – Unterbendern

Unterbendern is an important location for mobility in Liechtenstein. The community is planning to overhaul the entire transport infrastructure and initiate a development that will create a new administrative, economic and residential centre for the region in the coming decades.

As part of the project, a new urban centre was designed at the intersection of various regional and international transport routes, historical sites and water infrastructure. The eight resulting project visions were presented in an exhibition and discussed with the public at a well-attended public event. The students were able to contribute to a key project in Liechtenstein's spatial development and make a substantial contribution to the discussion about the future of Unterbendern with a wide range of ideas.
