His world is the Internet. Whether as a blogger, columnist or author, he focuses his work on the Web and the effects it has on society. German cult blogger Sascha Lobo is the expert in digital trends. On 8 March 2013 he will be visiting the University of Liechtenstein.

From Facebook and blogs to Twitter, Sascha Lobo knows how individuals, companies and institutions reach their target groups. And also how they miss them. He advises companies on strategies, preventing them from getting themselves into trouble when it comes to online and social-media business.

His red Mohican has long become his trademark. To recognize Sascha Lobo by this striking feature is easy, to reduce him to it, however, would be too simple.
Having accepted an invitation from the Principality of Liechtenstein’s Media Academy (www.academy2020.li), Sascha Lobo will be visiting Vaduz in the near future. Those planning to take part in this event are guaranteed a captivating lecture as well as fascinating discussion and debate in the University of Liechtenstein’s auditorium from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, 8 March 2013.

Sascha Lobo (37) is an author and strategy adviser whose work focuses on the Internet and on brand communication for clients such as Deutsche Messe, Fraunhofer and Volkswagen. He regularly delivers speeches on the digital world, covering topics ranging from social media through to digital work processes for companies such as Siemens, Lufthansa and Wincor Nixdorf.

His weekly column Die Mensch-Maschine (the human machine) is published on Spiegel Online. He has co-authored non-fiction literature on the world of work, the Web and society. For his community blog Riesenmaschine.de he received the 2006 Grimme Online Award, the 2007 Erik Reger Literary Prize and various other awards. His most recent book, Internet – Segen oder Fluch (the Internet – a blessing or a curse), which he wrote with Kathrin Passig, was published in October 2012.

The Media Academy, an initiative by the Principality of Liechtenstein’s government, has been offering the Journalism and Public Relations programme since 2010 and also hosts various lectures and workshops.
