Bachelor's degree programme in Architecture (01.09.2008)

  • Drawing objects, organic and inorganic things.
  • Testing the limits of tactile and visible elements.
  • Record objects, spaces and interspaces visually in freehand drawings.
  • Specific characteristics, such as surface, structure and plasticity are made visible.
  • Introduction to the principles of perspective, axometry and isometry.
  • Individual skills are synthesized in form of a linocut, preceded by the analytical aspects of visual representation.

Lecture Goals

Drawing and reconstruction of objects is practiced by employing various methods, materials and dimensions. The aim is to gradually develop the process from simple to complex elements, from real-life to abstract interpretations and to record the steps in a sketchbook.

Learning Outcomes

Each student is expected to:

  • discover and communicate materiality.
  • recognize the possibilities of sketches from abstracting to synthesizing.
  • be familiar with the principles of perspective drawing.
  • recognize structures and the ability to render them.
  • demonstrate the ability to record spaces in drawings.
  • demonstrate the ability to work independently at the studio according to methodical requirements.
  • demonstrate the ability to verbalize qualities of drawings.
  • demonstrate the ability to use a repertoire of sketches for preparing designs.
