Fostering Knowledge Transfer in Research-to-Practice Networks

The transfer of scientific findings into practice and the application of research to practically relevant problems can help organisations to build a competitive advantage. Research at the Institute of Information Systems aims at promoting knowledge transfer and delivering value-adding practical applications.

Our Competence Centers directly promote knowledge transfer. A Competence Center is a network of regional organisations from industry, public administration, and research, which is founded to address contemporary challenges related to the design and application of information systems. Together with the Competence Center partners, the institute regularly carries out knowledge-transfer projects. Research results are published in practitioner-oriented journals and magazines to support knowledge transfer at a broader level.
