Current Activity
Kurt Weiss is a physicist (University of Zurich). He started his career as a scientist in basic research with Philips Research in Eindhoven (Nether-lands) and as a professor at UC Los Angeles and the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität Frankfurt (Germany). He then focused his interests on applied work: First as head of research at HILTI AG (Liechtenstein) and later as director at the ETH Lausanne for a Swiss-wide coordinated re-search effort in applied optics (IOT). Today he works as a free lancer for SAP and in addition presents semi-nars about the necessity to think and act in processes. In addition he teaches MBA courses on Business, Vision, and Strategy at various Universities and other Higher Learning Institutions in several countries. Most recently he has been studying the possible impact of tomorrow's IT developments (as far as they are predictable) on business in the years to come and has just started teaching MBA courses on this topic.
