Ariana Pradal Rinderknecht

Ariana Pradal studied industrial design at the Zurich School of Art and Design (now the Zurich University of the Arts, zhdk). Having gained professional experience in various design offices, she completed a two-year traineeship with Hochparterre, a Swiss journal of design and architecture, while taking courses at the Swiss School of Journalism in Lucerne. Afterwards she worked with Location.Switzerland, the Swiss economic promotion body, in New York for six months, gathering experience in the worlds of business and diplomacy.
After returning to Switzerland, she worked part-time for the architectural journal Werk, Bauen und Wohnen for three years and wrote a weekly architecture column for the Sonntag newspaper for another three years. In parallel, she started to build her own office for curating and journalism. Since then, she has published and presented various articles, books and exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad. In addition, she serves as an expert consultant on design and architecture for various cultural and political institutions.
In 2017, she graduated as a cultural manager from the SAWI Academy for Marketing & Communication. Since 2019, she has supported eco-bau - the Swiss association of public builders for sustainable building - under a large commission in the field of communications. In the same year she started teaching in the interior design bachelor programme at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
