In this Afterwork Fireside Chat, Pascal Mathis will offer insights into the world of venture investing. He will discuss how very early-stage tech start-ups grow into globally successful companies and share lessons from building GetYourGuide. Drawing on practical examples, he will highlight what matters when investing in early funding rounds and how founders can be supported with more than capital, namely through operational experience and a strong entrepreneurial network. Additional panellists for the discussion will be announced at a later date. The topic is equally relevant for students and professionals.

Pascal Mathis is General Partner at Founderful. In this role, he focuses on fundraising and investing and helps founders scale their teams and expand internationally. As a board member, he brings high expectations and a cool head, supports founders in negotiating important deals, and makes key introductions from his network of European industry leaders. Before Founderful, he co-founded the travel-tech company GetYourGuide. As COO and member of the board, he was responsible for growing the team from 5 students to 120 employees with offices in the US, Germany, and Switzerland. He also worked at Google.
