  • know why and where innovative finance methods matter in the wealth management process

Methodological Competence
  • select the right type of Blockchain for a given task
  • evaluate the concepts of Bitcoin and Altcoins
  • select and apply the right token category for tokenization processes
  • devise suitable financial concepts using innovative financial methods
  • evaluate Fintech concepts from a financial and technological point of view
  • select research methods for a complex project and develop a research plan for the project
  • write a research pitch and an exposé for the project according to scientific writing principles
  • summarize and explain their findings in a presentation about their research project

  • critically evaluate their point of view on new methods and discuss pros and cons in class
  • defend their stance in discussions
  • respond to feedback questions and critique in a follow-up discussion after a presentation in front of the class

These admission requirements:
  • To register for modules in the specialization, the modules Statistics, Business Mathematics, and English I must have been successfully completed.
  • In addition, the module Finance must have been successfully completed in order to register for the IFS specialization.

Enrollment before WS23/24
Either the above admission requirements or:
  • To register for modules in the specialization, modules worth at least 45 ECTS credits from the first year of study and the module English I must have been successfully completed.
  • Elective courses are not taken into account at all for these regulations.
