LSA Lecturer in Practice Nina Beck Receives anotHERVIEWture AWARD 2026
On 22 October 2026, Nina Beck received the anotHERVIEWture AWARD in the «Emerging Female Architect of the Year» category at the Architekturzentrum Wien in Vienna. The international award recognises outstanding achievements by women in architecture and engineering.
Nina Beck completed both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Architecture at the University of Liechtenstein. Today, she runs her own architecture practice in the Bregenzerwald region of Austria and teaches as a Lecturer in Practice at the Liechtenstein School of Architecture (LSA). Her work focuses particularly on the transformation of existing buildings, the reuse of resources and the question of how architecture can facilitate communal uses.
For the award, she submitted three projects: the transformation of a former farmhouse, «Die Gute Stube», a meeting place for the Offene Jugendarbeit Bregenzerwald (open youth work organisation), and a residential building designed to accommodate different uses and stages of life.
The international jury particularly highlighted how Nina Beck extends circular thinking beyond building construction to encompass the way buildings are used. Her projects are developed in dialogue with the people who use the spaces and explore the relationship between existing structures, new interventions and regional building traditions.
The anotHERVIEWture AWARD is organised by the Austrian Federal Chamber of Architects and Chartered Engineering Consultants and aims to raise the visibility of women's achievements in architecture and engineering. This year's edition attracted 126 female architects and engineers from 24 countries, who submitted more than 300 projects. Awards were presented in four categories.
