Design Capabilities for Digital Europe
Project Description
The project aims to expand the development of design capabilities for a digital Europe. We chose the design science research (DSR) methodology to enhance design capabilities. Our main objective is to support educators in teaching DSR. We will develop open digital educational teaching resources on DSR, enhancing problem-solving skills at European
business schools across multiple disciplines. To achieve project goals, we will follow DSR itself. We deliver our project through a structured cycle of understanding, building, and evaluating. We begin by reviewing the existing landscape of DSR tools, courses, and materials, before developing new open teaching resources, practical guidelines, and an adaptive self-assessment tool. These are then rigorously evaluated through classroom integration and educator feedback, ensuring continuous refinement and
improvement. Overall, this project develops innovative open DSR teaching materials and digital tools to enhance DSR education across European higher education. It combines practical resources and theoretical insights, establishing evaluation metrics and best practices. The outcome includes scalable, personalized learning assets, instructional strategies, assessment principles, and reusable components supporting high-quality, effective DSR teaching.
