Stays abroad

Studying abroad, working as an intern abroad or taking part in a staff or lecturer exchange are all unbelievably important experiences to take advantage of during your studies or working life. The International Office is happy to help make your dream of going abroad come true. On these pages, you will find all the information that you need for organising your placement in another country.

Nantes is a beautiful city in the northwest of France also known as “Land of the Loire”. It is conveniently located near the ocean and Paris which means it got the feeling of a “small town” (with little tourists) yet both nature and the capital are nearby. I am glad I was able to call Nantes my home for four months. The university is extremely international and offers a wide variety of extracurriculars as well as great courses.

My exchange program was definitely a successful experience. I traveled to the other side of the world and still felt connected to my home country thanks to the great support from the International Office. The Australian students welcomed me and were very curious to learn more about Europe and especially about Liechtenstein. The university facilities were modern and spacious. If I have the opportunity to do a second exchange, I will jump at the chance!

I enjoyed the semester abroad in Ho Chi Minh very much and can also recommend a semester abroad to everyone. It is very different from Liechtenstein/Vorarlberg in every respect. You learn to come into contact with a completely new culture and I would advise everyone to get involved in order to take as much as possible from a stay abroad. You get to know many new people and make many new experiences that are valuable for life. I would choose to stay in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam again anytime!
