Educating Business Students for Human-AI Partnerships: Training Human Competences and Critical Thinking Skills

Project Description

The Erasmus+ project "Educating Business Students for Human-AI Partnerships: Training Human Competences and Critical Thinking Skills" explores how business students can be educated for human-AI partnerships in management. As tools like ChatGPT take over traditional managerial tasks (e.g., planning, reporting, and communication), future managers need to be aware of the opportunities and limitations of AI systems. This project leverages state-of-the-art research to develop three higher education courses to train business students for "human-AI partnerships in management". The courses will be taught and evaluated at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels in European universities. Furthermore, we will develop an instrument to measure and improve responsible AI integration in the curricula of other universities. All materials will be made available for free. Our results address three areas: (1) provide a scientifically backed framework outlining human competences and critical thinking skills for effective and responsible "human-AI partnerships in management"; (2) develop a flexible, modular course design for undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels to foster relevant management skills; (3) offer a framework to assess and improve "AI-readiness" of other university curricula and help students' digital skills.
