Beschreibung

The Educational Journey in 2015 takes us to Beijing and Shanghai and the topic is: "Chinese Capital Markets – Implications for Asset and Wealth Management"

With an annual growth rate of just below 10%, China will become the world's largest economy in ten years’ time. How will this growth rate shape the Chinese capital markets in the near future? What are the implications for Asset Management and Wealth Management in China and Europe?

We try to find an answer to these questions by exploring current financial strategies and developments of major Chinese financial players. We will meet with representatives of financial and governmental institutions, visit industrial companies and universities in Shanghai and Beijing. Besides we will engage with ambassadors in Beijing to learn more about the current political situation in China.

Travel dates: April 6th – 18th, 2015

Each participant has to organise flights to Beijing and from Shanghai on an individual basis. The Hotel bookings however will be arranged through the university, which means all the participants will stay in the same hotels during the duration of the trip.

All participants should be in Beijing by Tuesday, 7th April 2015 at 5.00pm. The official programme starts on Wednesday, 8th April 2015 at 9.00am and ends on Friday, 17th April around 6.00pm. You can extend your journey before or after the official programme if you wish. Last lecture before the Easter break is on Friday, 27th March, first lecture after the trip is on Thursday, 23rd April 2015.

More detailed information on the programme schedule, hotels etc. will be communicated soon.
