Continuing Education at the University Liechtenstein
The University of Liechtenstein serves as a factory for thinking, a place where research and instruction are inspiring, exciting and challenging, where students develop a hunger for lifelong learning.

Lifelong learning is a basic requirement for long-term success and a personal investment in the future. The University of Liechtenstein considers continuing education to be a central responsibility in its strategy. The continuing education programmes set themselves apart through

Individuals are encouraged to help shape society and business through their abilities and skills. In the programmes, particular value is therefore placed on imparting soft skills, innovative abilities and networked thinking.

The multifaceted offerings include executive master’s and university programmes, symposiums and conferences as well as lectures and seminars. In addition, we continually address timely issues and demands relating to business and society, thereby constantly supplementing our programme.

Lectures and Forums
Lectures facilitate the acquaintance with new and current issues in a compact form and create impulses. Various topics may also be introduced in a lecture series or forum.

Seminars
Seminars are compact educational modules characterised by learning goals and teaching contents. The average length is 10 to 20 hours. Experts and specialists from the practice convey application-oriented knowledge.

Symposiums
Symposiums facilitate the acquaintance with new and current issues in a compact form and create impulses. The programme presents academic and practice-oriented issues. The visiting speakers represent the areas of research and practice. 

University Courses

University courses are compactly structured modules leading to a potential partial qualification. An examination can be taken if desired. The workload averages 30 to 120 hours. Participants passing the examination receive a certificate and an academic report. 

Certificate of Advanced Stuides (CAS)
Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS)
CAS and DAS are modularly structured and represent a more comprehensive form of continuing education leading to one of the desired qualifications. The programme is supplemented by a special project. The workload averages 300 to 900 hours. Graduates receive a university certificate or a professional diploma and an academic report.

Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) and
Executive Master’s Degree Programmes
MAS and Executive Master’s degree programmes represent a comprehensive type of continuing education leading to specific qualifications. University courses and university programmes can serve as integrative elements in MAS or Executive Master’s degree programmes. The degree programme is supplemented by a Master’s thesis. The workload totals approximately 1.800 hours. Graduates are awarded a diploma and an academic report.

Various educational and continuing education programmes are modularly structured. Individual modules for the Executive Master’s, MAS, DAS, CAS, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes may be attended subject to available space and fulfilment of special entrance requirement.
